6-20M Stealth MagLoop Element

The “Stealth MagLoop Element” for our MagLoop systems will work with both of Alpha Antenna’s Magnet Loop Antennas:

• Using the Model 100W MagLoop’s tuning box, it will work on 6-17M
• Using the Model EmComm MagLoop’s tuning box, it will work on 6-20M.

Here are the efficiencies for this element when compared to a resonant dipole installed at 1/2 wavelength high.

With a total circumference of 2.18055 Feet, this magnetic loop antenna with a 0.32-inch conductor diameter exhibits the following calculated efficiencies.

For higher efficiencies, use the Larger Outer Loops that come with our MagLoop systems.

Results

The following signal reports are SSB contacts made from California over a 30-minute period, and while these are not ‘great signal reports’, they do get stronger the higher your frequency becomes:

20-Meters: 5/3 N6FCM California, 5/3 KA6NPD California, 3/3 KC7DTR Utah, 5/2 N6WL California

10-Meters: 5/5 K0MJ Kansas, 5/3 KC5NVZ Texas, 5/3 KS0MIK Kansas, 5/3 K0PJR Kansas
