I bought this antenna for an upcoming military deployment. Being limited on space I needed something small and versatile. I found one used for less than half the price of new. When I got the chance to try it out I was very impressed with the ease of set up. Literally 10 minutes, most of which was Uncoiling 100 feet of coax (RG213) the antenna worked well with my FT-100d. No tuner, it measured less than 2:1 on all bands 80-6. Within a few hours I had made contacts in California, Connecticut, Florida and Kentucky. Most gave a 5×5 report. If you travel or backpack I would recommend this.
