Before you buy a replacement shock cord, please make sure you can take apart and reassemble the whip. That’s because without the recommended maintenance found in the technical manual, corrosion on each end of the portable whip can keep you from disassembling it. If this is the case, then you will need a pipe cutter and reamer to install the kit. After that is done, then you just need to tie off one end of the replacement shock cord to the included tip and place the cord through the MilStick before tying it off to the included base component.
NOTE – This kit is only for .433 MilStick whips. The size of your MilStick is printed in white lettering on each section of the whip and you might need a magnifying glass to see the print.
