Analysis
Analysis at the antenna when properly deployed on the tripod with Vertical, NVIS, & Grounded Counterpoise elements without a tuner. An external antenna tuner can be used if the antenna systems is deployed over a poor ground or not placed in a clear area.
Deployment
More Information
Never Remove or Loosen any of the Bolts, Washers, Nuts, or Caps on the Alpha Match.
Touch free operations: The system enables you to switch bands or change frequencies without having to change switches, jumpers, or coils as it is an off-center fed dipole type vertical that is pre-tuned when deployed over real ground. Making this antenna especially useful if you have a disability such as being mobility or sight impaired.
Options
NVIS for EMCOMM: The optional 60 foot NVIS element activates your HF MIL 2.0 antenna for NVIS, which is needed for EmComm. You will not need a tuner when this element is installed, however, you may still use one if the antenna is installed over a poor ground or not placed in a clear area to achieve a lower SWR.
