FCC RF Exposure Study requirements

Do I need to submit a FCC RF Exposure Study for my U.S. Ham Radio station?

No study is required if your power does not exceed these Power (W) for PEP (Peak-envelope-power) inputs to the antenna and RF exposure limits. [Ref. FCC RF-Exposure Regulations — the Station Evaluation (arrl.org)]

Power (W) = Peak-envelope-power (PEP) limits for RF exposure

No RF Exposure Requirements study is required if the ‘PEP SSB’ limits of any antenna does not exceed the above Power for PEP on each associated band.

The information presented here is for reference only. The attached document in the URL here is the 2019 Report and Order governing RF exposure standards effective on May 3, 2021, for evaluations that (if required) would need to be completed by May 3, 2023.

If you find that a gain document is still needed. Please feel free to let us know which band and antenna it is needed for.
