1. Chris Maltese W4LUC contacted us and described how to lower and nearly eliminate the noise floor caused by the 2-wire Remote Control for the Alpha Loop. He used the wire that was included with the remote to make 7 turns through a solid mix type 31 ferrite core. Thank you, Chris, for providing this information and the attached image!
2. Here are some additional tips provided by Claude Jollet – VE2DPE: Ground the barrel side of the BNC Connector on the remote control unit reduces the level of interference generated by the control unit … by 2 S units.
3. Flip the power supply for the remote control over, so that the plugs might be oriented correctly for grounding. This is of course reliant on your homes outlet being wired correctly for a ground on the two prong outlet.
